About Solar Star Power
We are a small family business but rapidly expanding to meet the current high demands for increasingly popular solar power systems.
We pride ourselves on installing unique systems to meet each individual customer’s requirements.
We started life as a branch of a Scottish company called Gener8 Power, who wished to expand into the Midlands. When the Government feeding tariff was dropped Gener8 Power pulled out and we took over as Solar Star Power
The company was founded in 2011 by David Pollard, who is still at the helm! Craig is Project Manager and David’s right-hand man. Helen, Fiona, Liz, Louisa and Karen make up the admin team and keep things in order behind the scenes.
Mark and Emily are our surveyors and will come out to see you for a chat regarding options to create the best system for your household.
Jamie our head roofer keeps both teams of experienced, customer-focused roofers busy and in order. Our roofers are Lee, Dazz, Josh, Jake, Dave, Dan, and Pedro.
We have a team of four qualified electricians who carry out various tasks but also have individual specialisms. We also have four trainee electricians, who are at various stages of their training on the job with Rebus, a local education provider
All electricians are able to complete repairs and maintenance, and fit car chargers.
Tom, Oliver, and Dave will install your PV, but they specialise in installing Tesla Powerwalls, GivEnergy, eCactus, and Solax batteries.
Shane’s forte is PV installation, particularly commercial projects.
Congratulations to Oliver, who has recently completed his training at Rebus and is now a fully qualified electrician. Tony will soon finish his training and education to become fully qualified too.
Our other trainee electricians are Wilson and Hong who are learning the ropes and attending college to gain the relevant electrical qualifications. They will visit you with one of our qualified electricians as part of their training.
