About Us

We are a small business but rapidly expanding to meet the current high demands for increasingly popular solar power systems.

We pride ourselves on installing unique systems to meet each individual customer’s requirements.

We started life as a branch of a Scottish company called Gener8 Power, who wished to expand into the Midlands. When the Government feeding tariff was dropped Gener8 Power pulled out and we took over as Solar Star Power
 

The company was founded in 2011 by David Pollard, who is still at the helm! Craig is Project Manager and David’s right-hand man. Helen, Fiona, Liz, and Karen make up the admin team and keep things in order behind the scenes.

Mark is our surveyor and may come out to see you for a chat regarding options with his measuring tape in hand.

Jamie our head roofer keeps both teams of experienced, customer-focused roofers busy and in order. Our roofers are Lee, Dazz, Josh, Jake, Dave, Dan, and Pedro.

We have a team of 7 qualified electricians who carry out various tasks but also have individual specialisms.

​

Paul will complete repairs and maintenance, but his biggest accolade is being ‘The Zappi Champion of Uttoxeter,’ he makes an excellent job of all car charger fittings.

​

Tom, Henry, Liam, Tim, and Dave will install your PV, but they specialise in installing Tesla and Solax batteries.

​

Shane’s forte is PV installation.

​

Tony will soon finish his training and education to become a fully qualfied electrician with his own van.

 

A big welcome to Wilson, Ben, Oliver, and Hong who are learning the ropes as our new team of trainee electricians. They will visit you with one of our qualified electricians as part of their training. They will also attend college to gain the relevant electrical qualifications.
